About Our Programs

SRC programs offer spaces for our members to broaden their perspectives, expand their networks, and explore the most pressing issues affecting our communities.

Events are typically hosted by SRC members, and feature opportunities to network with other professionals in the field. Member organizations may attend all SRC events for free.

We are here to learn together. To support that environment, there is a strict “no solicitation” policy in effect at all SRC convenings.

Breakfast Speaker Series

Social impact is a constantly evolving field. Our Speakers Series is an opportunity for members to stay up to date on current thought leadership around issues impacting Chicago’s social sector.

Each event features a panel of key stakeholders offering a robust and diverse set of perspectives. With a panel that features experts in every aspect — from executive leaders, to funders, to program staff — attendees will walk away with an understanding of the big picture.

Members may attend Breakfast series events for free.

Member Meet-Ups

Strong thought-partnership can be hard to come by, especially when it comes to the nuance of social impact work. Member Meet-Ups bring together sector-specific groups of professionals to address specific and pressing questions.

Meet-Ups are curated at the request of SRC members and members only. The SRC Programs Committee helps arrange the details and share the opportunity with our membership.

Demystifying Social Impact Careers – Navigating & Unlocking Opportunities

SRC believes in helping its members navigate the sector’s professional landscape. Demystifying Social Impact Careers (DSIC) is a chance for individual members to hear from professionals across the social sector about their career pathways.

Events focus on understanding the day-to-day activities of different professional roles, what skills and knowledge they use to do their job, and how they continue their learning. It’s an excellent opportunity to explore the behind-the-scenes of careers in a candid conversation with experts.

Non-members may attend DSIC events for a small fee.

Community Conversations

Solving social impact challenges requires innovative problem solving. Community Conversations looks at unique models for social change, effective strategic partnerships, and new methods to scale impact.

Each Community Conversation takes a deep dive into ideas, implementation, and outcomes providing a detailed look at effective responses to social impact challenges.
